Recertification First Aid Training provides a comprehensive refresh overview covering all aspects of current and amended policies for First Aid and CPR. This course will allow you to ensure proper techniques are being practiced using the latest methods.

Duration: 8 hrs (1 day)

Cost: $95 +GST

Qualification: Valid for 2 years.

*Pre-Course Requirements: Must have completed the 'Standard First Training' and are with the 2 year window of your First Aid certification expiration date. Recertifications must be completed by a trainer under the same organization (Life Saving Society, Red Cross, etc.) Recertifications can ONLY be done once after completing the full Standard First Aid Training course. 

Course Aim: To provide candidates with a refreshed knowledge and possible protocol changes required to manage an emergency situation effectively with the aim of preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives.

This qualification is aimed at those who wish to become first aiders in the workplace who will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations.

Assessment: Continual assessment of practical skills by observation + final multi-choice question paper & practical skills assessment.

Assessment method: Multiple-choice questionnaire and continuous formative assessment plus theory assessment.

Course Outline: 1 Apex First Aid course conforms with regulation 1101 guidelines, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.
